What we will be doing:
Visiting an orphanage in Accra where we will share God’s Word with the children, encourage them and show them the love of their heavenly Father.
How you can pray:
Pray that we will be able to show the orphans the love of God, who is “the helper to the fatherless” (Psalm 10:14) and their sustainer (Psalm 146:9); and that the kids will trust in the Living God, “in [whom] the fatherless find compassion”. (Hosea 14:3)
“Sing to God, sing in praise of His name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him-his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. [Praise Him, for] God sets the lonely in families.” (Psalm 68:4-6)
Pray that we will “learn to do right, seek justice, defend the oppressed [and] take up the cause of the orphan” (Isaiah 1:16-17) and that we will love them the way that God loves them, as He commands us. (John 13:34)
